About UnitConverter

Convert units instantly. Clear formulas, accurate results, no clutter.

What this site is

UnitConverter is a small library of everyday unit converters. Each page does one job: you type a number, you get the answer, and the formula is right underneath if you want to check it. There is no sign-up, no popup in front of the result and no essay before the calculator.

How we decide what to publish

A converter gets its own page only when it answers a genuinely different question. Different wordings of the same question — “lbs to kg”, “pounds to kilograms” — share one page rather than being split into near-identical copies.

Accuracy

Every factor comes from the defining standard for the unit and is listed on the methodology page. We do not claim to be official or number one; we claim the arithmetic is right, and we show our working so you can confirm it.

How the site pays for itself

Advertising, served through Google AdSense, and nothing else. There is no paid tier, no affiliate link and no sponsored converter, so no advertiser has any say in what a page says or which number it shows. Ads stay out of the way of the answer — never above it, never in front of it — because a converter you have to dismiss an ad to read is a broken converter. What the ad and analytics tags collect is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

Who writes this

UnitConverter is built and maintained by Akash Yadav (@akashyadav_dev), a software engineer. Every conversion factor published here was checked against the defining standard for the unit before the page went live, and the methodology page names the standard in each case rather than asking you to take our word for it. When a number turns out to be wrong, the fix ships and the methodology page records what changed.
