Who you are writing to

UnitConverter is an independent site built and maintained by Akash Yadav (@akashyadav_dev). There is no support desk and no ticket queue — mail goes to one inbox and is usually answered within a few working days. Privacy requests are answered within 30 days.

Reporting a wrong conversion

This is the message we most want to receive, and the one we act on fastest. Four lines are enough:

  1. the page you were on, such as /lbs-to-kg/;
  2. the number you entered;
  3. the result the page showed;
  4. the result you expected, and the source you are checking against.

If the arithmetic really is wrong, the fix ships and the methodology page is updated to say what changed.

Requesting a converter

Tell us the pair and, more usefully, the situation you needed it for — a recipe, a parcel, a floor plan. A converter earns a page when it answers a genuinely different question, so the context is what decides it. Different wordings of the same question share one page; the about page explains why.

Privacy, data and advertising

For access, correction or deletion requests, or anything about the ads and analytics on this site, write to the same address with “Privacy” in the subject line. What is collected, and the opt-outs available to you, are set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. If you are reporting a broken, misleading or inappropriate advert, include a screenshot and the page it appeared on — we can report it to Google, which we cannot do from a description alone.

Press, licensing and everything else

Quoting a formula or a figure with a link back needs no permission. For anything larger — reproducing a page, an interview, a correction request about how we are described elsewhere — the terms of use set out what is allowed, and the address above handles the rest.

What we cannot help with

We cannot check your homework, run your engineering calculation, or advise on a dose, a dosage, a structural load or a legal quantity. The disclaimer explains why: this site is a reference, and those decisions need someone accountable for them.
